Ever since The Breeding Tree was released, I’ve received a few links to articles that are eerily close to the subject of my book.

Article1: Scientists debate the ethics of an unnerving gene-editing technique

Article 2: British scientists seek to edit the genes of embryos; bioethicists warn of potential dangers

These sort of events pretty much freak me out. I think it’s what makes dystopian literature so appealing. It’s dark and creepy and the reality of it is entirely possible.

So tell me, what aspects of dystopian literature freak you out? What do you think is entirely possible in our society? What’s your favorite dystopian novel?
